I have been cooking sous vide in an old water bath, no circulator, for about two years. Even then it was worth the trouble of emptying the bath and cleaning it every time. It was too big, but it worked. I had to keep it in the garage because of space issues.
Then my son got me this for Christmas. This is so easy to setup and so compact! It works like a dream. Everything is perfectly cooked. This is way cheaper than many useless kitchen appliances. The interface is quite intuitive and easy to use and I can screw it on any size pot I have. It stores compactly on the shelf. Because of the circulator, the water heats quickly and evenly. I can't think of any way to improve it.
